The first thing to look at when evaluating technology is how much it is going to cost versus how much use you will get out of it. You’ll also want to make sure that it can do what you expect it to do. If I wanted to be able to print, for example, I probably wouldn’t want to get an iPad. The ease of use needs to considered when evaluating because you don’t want to get something that is too complicated for you or your students. It would be a total waste of time. You’ll want to take a quick look at the review to make sure the product is actually worth buying. This can save you a lot of time and money. Finally, you’ll want to evaluate the time that will need to be invested to learn the technology versus how much you’ll actually use it, and the time used to train the teachers and students.
