Creativity means using one’s imagination to come up with original ideas. There are two main things technology can be used for when fostering creativity: inspiration and creation.
Where is the first place you turn when you feel you have a creativity block? I know for me, I turn to the internet. With so many websites, it’s endless the amount of possibilities there are to get inspiration. One of my favorite websites for inspiration is Pinterest. On this website, people can “pin” their ideas onto a “board” (or many boards) and share them with others. This is a great website for inspiration because someone can search key words of what they’re looking for and find it or many things like it in just a minute. If you’re not looking for anything specific, you can always just browse boards. It’s a fun and easy website to use.
There are so many paths one can take for creation of something using technology – anything from building robots, to writing blog posts, to building a website. Personally, my favorite thing to do to create using technology is to edit pictures. There are many online (and not online – as in software) editing tools one can use. You can find a website or software that works best for you and what you are doing with the photo. My favorite site to use to edit photos is Ribbet, since it is really simple, but you can still make unique pictures.
With a simple Google search, you can find websites and software to foster your creativity.
